Sights and wanderings

In Ontario, we see to do battle with colour.
Oh yes, it can be achieved it you are prepared to ensure
your pots and gardens get enough water,
not so much sun that they shrivel.
Beds need to be prepared and cared for.
not in Victoria.
These icelandic poppies where growing in mass, in the lawn, just were they grew

These just grew in some space in the rock

along a driveway, next to a wooden fence

Along the sidewalk

Along the roof of the porch

Under a veranda

garden pots and wind chimes

And,  It seem that VW van never rust
or go out of style.

these are only two of many I've seen.
Sadly, these two didn't have Kayak racks.

There are alot of paddlers in BC

Red Velvet Cupcake Tulips

Image,
Combining my love of cupcakes
and
my love of gardening

Red Velvet Cupcake Tulips

I wish I could have a shawl this colour and texture
to wrap myself up.
Tragically, the colour
would clash wish my hair.

Garden Treats

My friends have been good to me this week. Pam dropped by Tuesday with cookies and a 'Lottie Lime' travel mug which I will enjoy using next week at the workshop I am attending. Cyndy called me this morning and took me to the Bacon Basket Ltd. annual warehouse sale. Cookies and shopping are two things that can brighten even the darkest of days. In keeping with my word of the year - luscious - I came home with garden art. How can fat birds, dancing cranes, and colour glass not help, even a little bit???
